MarkIt Points

MarkIt Points reward active participation across the protocol. Every bet you place, every dollar of liquidity you provide, and every winning position you redeem earns points. Points are tracked off-chain from on-chain events — no additional smart contract interaction is needed.

How You Earn Points

Betting

Earn 1 MP per $1 USDC wagered on any market.

• Minimum qualifying bet: $5 USDC (bets below this earn 0 MP)

Providing Liquidity

Earn 2 MP per $1 per day your capital is in the pool.

• Calculated from the time you deposit until the market enters CloseOnly

• Minimum duration: 1 hour in the pool to earn any points

Win Bonus

Earn 0.5 MP per $1 of payout when you redeem winning positions.

Multipliers

Multipliers stack on top of your base points.

Contrarian Bonus (1.5x)

When you bet against the crowd, you earn 1.5x points. A bet qualifies as contrarian when the market skew exceeds 60% toward one side and you bet the other side.

For example, if 70% of the money is on YES and you bet NO, your points from that bet are multiplied by 1.5x.

Streak Bonus (up to 2x)

Place at least one qualifying bet ($5+) per UTC day to build a streak. Each consecutive day adds +10% to your multiplier, capped at 2x after 10 days.

Missing a day resets your streak to 0.

Early Adopter Bonus (3x)

During Season 1 (February 20 - March 31, 2026), all points earned are multiplied by 3x. This stacks with contrarian and streak multipliers.

Example: A $100 contrarian bet during Season 1 with a 5-day streak:

• Base: 100 MP

• Contrarian: 1.5x

• Streak (5 days): 1.5x

• Early adopter: 3x

• Total: 100 x 1.5 x 1.5 x 3 = 675 MP

Anti-Gaming Rules

• Bets under $5 earn zero points

• LP deposits must stay in the pool for at least 1 hour

Viewing Your Points

• Header badge — Your total MP and rank are always visible in the site header

• Portfolio page — Full breakdown by category (betting, liquidity, win bonus, bonuses), current streak, and rank

• Post-bet toast — After each bet, a notification shows exactly how many points you earned and which multipliers applied

Leaderboard

The public leaderboard at /leaderboard shows the top earners with time filters:

• All Time — Total points since launch

• This Week — Points earned in the current calendar week

• Today — Points earned today (UTC)

Your position is always pinned at the bottom of the table so you can see your rank relative to others.

Season 1

Season 1 runs from February 20 to March 31, 2026. During this period, all point-earning actions receive a 3x early adopter multiplier. This is the best time to accumulate points.
